On this day, the 28th of June, 1990, a muffled explosion was heard at the Factory Night Club, located at the Headricks Buildings, 189 East Street Rockhampton at around 4:10am. Investigations revealed one of the timing devices attached to a bomb had failed to detonate. If the second device had detonated, the building would have been completely destroyed. A $50,000 reward remains on offer from the Queensland Government for the information which leads to the apprehension and conviction  of the person or persons responsible for the Factory Night Club Bombing.
