Calvin represented me in a high-profile matter which resulted in a District Court trial, in which I was ultimately acquitted.
The matter had the potential to be devastating to my private and professional life. Calvin's support and assistance through this time was unwavering.
From my first contact with Calvin on learning of the investigation until the verdict being read, I knew I was in the best of hands.
He is, to my mind, one the best white-collar crime and discipline lawyers in Queensland. His record speaks for itself. Above all that, he got me through one of the worst times in my life and I could not have asked for a more patient, competent and supportive lawyer.
Client M
Calvin was extremely knowledgeable and professional in my dealings with him before the QSC. A potentially complex matter arising late in the process was handled exceptionally. I would have no hesitation in recommending Calvin.

Calvin you came highly recommended and we are so glad to have engaged with you, thank you. I now refer to you as the “four out of four solicitor”, two major government organizations being the Queensland Racing integrity Commission (QRIC) and the Queensland Racing Crime Squad (QRCS) initiated proceedings against the four of us, charging us under the Animal Care and Protection Act, a complete and utter injustice, with your assistance, perseverance and expertise you turned a very unacceptable wrong into a right, and well… “The results speak for themselves” four persons charged, four persons discharged and cost awarded.
A excellent result!!
Once again thank you Calvin, four out of four.

Calvin Gnech believed in my innocence after our first meeting and worked tirelessly with compassion and tenacity over a period of just under three years to prove my innocence. Calvin provided me advice and expertly represented me within the Magistrates Court after a criminal charge, misconduct hearings within the public sector and at QCAT.
Sarah
Calvin's knowledge and professionalism is second to none. We found him to be genuine, reliable and always had our best interest at heart. Would highly recommend his services.
Renee
Our dealings with Calvin were above and beyond our expectations. His complete understanding of both our DVO and QCAT cases were a testament to his knowledge of the law. His approach to our cases were explained in a easy to understand manner and communicated clearly to us which helped relieve the stress we were under. We could not have had a better outcome with both our cases being dismissed. We would highly recommend Calvin and his Legal Firm to anyone needing legal representation.
Thank you once again Brian and Natasha
Legal Costs
The first question clients often ask is 'How much will this cost?'. This is a completely understandable question. Here at Gnech and Associates we pride ourselves on transparency and honesty in regard to legal costs.
We charge for the reasonable time which it takes to diligently provide your legal services. We will only perform tasks that are necessary to ensure legal costs remain as low as possible. We will provide you with a realistic estimate of costs from the outset. During the entire process we will regularly speak about the status of the costs so there can never be any surprises in this regard.
We will often be happy to enter into fixed fee agreements in relevant cases to ensure certainty in legal costs. This means you will not be charged according to time but a set cost will be agreed to from the outset.
We also have installment agreements and payment plan options available for discussion.
As a small firm we pride ourselves, not only on providing professional and diligent services, but also affordability when it comes to legal costs. We are open to having mature conversations about legal costs at any time.
The second question that is regularly asked is 'Can I recoup the legal costs I outlay for my defence?'. Unfortunately, in criminal and professional misconduct law there are only very limited situations where costs can be recovered. We will explain this to you in detail at your first conference.
Please call us to set a free no obligation first conference and appraisal of your case.
